Their stories are proof that setbacks happen, but you can come back stronger.
This week, we're talking to Eva!
Eva: The Power of Setting Boundaries
Eva anafanya biz ya mtumba boutique na ako na shop Eldoret. Amekuwa kwa hii biz for 4 years.
Challenge yake ilikuwa hunger ya kuuza vitu haraka, anapeana vitu on credit to customers na watu wakadelay kupay back.
Hii ilimrudisha nyuma sana especially in the first 2 years of biz na akawa na challenge ya kupay back suppliers.
Strategy for Bounce Back:
Eva alifika mahali akaimplement a rule kwa biz, ya making sure customers have at least a 70% deposit kwa the item they are buying.
Hii ilimsaidia kustay afloat na kupanga cash flow yake poa. As much as she lost some customers, it kept her afloat, people started respecting her biz.
Tip for Other Entrepreneurs:
"Before biz ipick, inachukua time. Use that time kustudy the market. Things might be slow na sometimes inaeza boom mara moja.
Always hope for the best but prepare for the worst.
Also if you can avoid kupeana vitu on credit, let customers deposit something to cover your stock costs. Na vitu kama clothes sio perishable, so be patient."
Lesson Learned:
"Nimelearn how to treat my customers. Do not be hard on them, give them a listening ear. Learn kubalance your biz rules na a good customer service."
