An apple 🍎 variant unique to Kenyan soils, has found a new home in the idyllic island 🏝️ of Jamaica 🇯🇲.

A product of experimental grafting, the 'Wambugu Apple' has become a darling of the reggae -loving Jamaicans 🇯🇲, also gaining popularity in Trinidad 🇹🇹 and Antigua 🇦🇬.

Designed for resilience, the Wambugu apple tree flourishes in both hot and cold conditions, making it ideally suited for tropical environments. Each tree has a lifespan of 80 to 100 years, can bear up to 500 apples within five years, and requires significantly less water than other fruit trees — a key advantage in drought-prone areas.

Also, what makes it economically viable, is that on only 1 acre, one can maximise around 180 apple 🍏 fruit trees 🍑 🎄.
