Are we allowed to preach here
Anyway I was reading the story of Noah while he was building the Ark,(Gen 6) I can imagine the ridicule he went through trying to build something that was odd. I mean there was no logic in what he was doing. If anyone asked him why he was building what he was building and I guess his answer would be, there is a flood coming. Everyone would laugh at him. Why build an Ark while there are trees to climb, hills and mountains.
But amidst the ridicule/noise he built the ark anyway.
Nehemiah when he was rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem (Nehemiah 4) The opening verse says NIV, Nehemiah 4:1 When Sanballat heard that we were rebuilding the wall, he became angry and was greatly incensed. He ridiculed the Jews .... Skip to verse 3 NIV, Nehemiah 4:3 Tobiah the Ammonite, who was at his side, said, "What they are building —even a fox climbing up on it would break down their wall of stones!"
Ridicule insults and threats were some of the reasons as to why Nehemiah could have stopped building the walls of Jerusalem but he did not listen to the naysayers. He had a dream that he wanted to actualize.
That is the philosophy that we should endear. Many are the times we are faced by ridicule, threats , insults. How many times have you been told that your dream is unachievable. It's all a waste of time, you are building nothing, you will amount to nothing, and so many other heartbreaking statements? The solution is to stick to the dream, to fight for it until you accomplish it. That business that they are discouraging you from undertaking, do it anyway, that iron sheet house you are being told is out of fashion, build it anyway.
Keep pushing, Keep grinding, Keep your eyes to the prize Do it, you can
