🚨 NEVER PAY FOR A JOB : How Genuine Recruitment Works
Job seekers, please be careful.
A genuine employer may ask you to attend an interview, submit documents, complete an assessment, or undergo medical checks after selection.
But they should not ask you to pay money in order to get hired.
If someone tells you:
❌ “Pay registration fee first” ❌ “Send money for processing your job letter” ❌ “Pay to be shortlisted” ❌ “Pay for training before employment” ❌ “Pay for uniform before reporting” ❌ “Pay for a job slot because positions are limited”
Treat it as a major red flag. 🚩
✅ How Genuine Recruitment Usually Works
A legitimate recruitment process often follows this order:
1️⃣ You see a vacancy from a verified company, organization, or trusted recruitment source.
2️⃣ You submit your CV, application form, or cover letter.
3️⃣ Qualified candidates are shortlisted.
4️⃣ You may be invited for an interview, aptitude test, or practical assessment.
5️⃣ Successful candidates receive an official offer letter or employment contract.
6️⃣ You review and sign the contract before starting work.
7️⃣ Any required work tools, uniforms, or training arrangements are clearly explained by the employer—not demanded through a suspicious personal number.
🔍 How to Verify a Job Before Applying
Before sending your CV or money:
✅ Check the company’s official website or verified social media pages. ✅ Confirm whether the email address matches the company name. ✅ Search the company name together with words like “scam,” “fraud,” or “reviews.” ✅ Call the official company contact—not the number provided in a suspicious message. ✅ Be cautious of WhatsApp-only recruitment with no official email, office address or interview process. ✅ Never send your ID copy, bank details, M-Pesa PIN, OTP, or money to an unknown recruiter.
⚠️ Remember
A real employer pays you for your skills.
A scammer asks you to pay for a job.
Protect your money, documents, and future.
