Many organisations are either hiring for fresh talent and many ppl are switching jobs, looking for greener pastures, etc.
Pia scammers wako on the prowl wakitafuta desperate graduates and job-seekers to con them of their hard-earned money.
Usidanganyike, here are red-flags 🚩🚩🚩 to watch out for:-
-
They Pressure you to urgently comply with their requirements because they need to fill the ''vacant position'' urgently.
-
They are the ones who keep calling you, several times asking whether you have complied with this or that requirement. Real jobs are competitive and the HR office doesn't have time to call up each candidate incessantly.
-
Asking for training fees, processing fee, money to get you fitted for a company uniform. Note no legit hiring company will ask you for money in advance.
-
Most scammers communicate via txts and Whatsapp messages not through official company emails / channels.
-
They ask you to send money to a personal number or a sketchy A/C.
-
They keep soliciting you for personal details very early in the 'selection-stage'- asking you to send your A/C number, ID, KRA Pin even before you've been interviewed or signed proper contracts.
Some of these scammers are simply data-mining.
-
Promises of a job even without a proper interview.
-
Sketchy company website or phone numbers whose lines are constantly jammed and/or suspicious.
-
Unwillingness to let you access the company's office or your inability to locate their physical office, because of sketchy online details.
Usikubali kuchezwa 2026, scammers out here will rob you of your hard-earned money 🤑. Kaa chonjo, kaa rada ⚠️
