⚠️ Being “Good with Computers” Is Not the Same as Being IT Literate.
1/ Many people say, “I know computers.”
But knowing how to install apps and browse the internet is not digital literacy.
That is basic usage.
2/ Real computer literacy means you understand:
• How files are organized • How backups work • How to protect your data • How networks function • How software actually supports business processes
It is about understanding systems, not just screens.
3/ I have seen businesses lose data because no one understood backups.
I have seen staff download malware because they did not recognize basic security risks.
The issue was not lack of access.
It was lack of knowledge.
4/ In today’s world, digital literacy is survival.
Every invoice. Every customer record. Every transaction.
It all depends on technology.
If you do not understand how it works, you are operating blindly.
5/ Schools should teach it deeper.
Businesses should train it intentionally.
Individuals should take it seriously.
Because the future belongs to those who understand how systems operate, not just how to click buttons.
6/ Upgrade your skills.
Learn how your tools actually work.
That is where real confidence begins.
