
Being open and vulnerable enhances confidence, as there's nothing to hide. When there's transparency, you can chill, but if there's something to conceal, anxiety shoots up through the roof.
When conversing with you, if anxiety arises, I introspect by questioning (1) what I might be concealing and (2) what expectations I hold. If there's no hidden agenda and no specific expectations from our interaction, then there's no source for anxiety.
