π Celebrating International Menstrual Hygiene Day
Voice of Dagoretti CBO, in partnership with Huit Fambo Organization, proudly joined hands for a meaningful community outreach at St. Maryβs High School in Kibera. Together, we engaged students in important conversations around period shaming, aiming to break the stigma and promote menstrual health education. With the support of our generous partners, we were able to donate sanitary pads to students in need.
Meanwhile, our team was also present at a Menstrual Hygiene Day event at Waithaka Health Center, organized by CREAW Kenya. We facilitated discussions around menstrual hygiene and supported adolescents from various wards within Dagoretti with sanitary pad donations.
In another key activity, John Mwangi represented Voice of Dagoretti in a Public Participation Forum organized by the National Technical Working Group on GBV and Femicide. Community members had the opportunity to share their views and recommendations on addressing Gender-Based Violence and Femicide in Kenya.
π A heartfelt thank you to all the CBOs, FBOs, and community members from across the sub-counties who showed up in large numbers. Your voices and presence made a difference.
