When you fail to face your emotions it obvious to assume you will most probably fall in love with someone who reflects those trauma back at you. The journey through life is a journey to self and no matter how much you try to run from yourself the universe will always find a way to mirror that. Consciousness the creative force in the universe is one, that translates to the religious belief of God the creator being one with different reference names from different religion. We are made in the image & likeness of God, So everyone has a divine essence within themselves that includes both the feminine and masculine energy. Society and the environment we grew up shape our different configuration on those energies, one might suppress his/her feminine side to protect their inner child and vice versa.
