Earlier thisweek, Voice of Dagoretti CBO was well represented at a Youth Serving Organizations (YSOs) meeting organized by the National Youth Council, in partnership with ActionAid Kenya.
The forum provided a valuable opportunity to discuss Gender-Based Violence (GBV), with a strong focus on the rising cases of online GBV. It was noted that young people are both highly affected and, in some cases, key drivers—highlighting the urgent need for youth-led solutions.
YSOs shared impactful approaches being used to tackle this challenge, including arts-based advocacy, community dialogues, and social media campaigns aimed at ending online GBV. The meeting also created space for networking, collaboration, and exchange of ideas among organizations.
GBV advocacy is a 365-day commitment. Together, we stand against Gender-Based Violence in all its forms—online and offline.
