I'm so happy you're joining me for Day 1 of our writing guide
So today's mission is simple but very important do not skip it.
As you before reaching where you want to arrive , you must have a writing goal to help you navigate your patch to your desired destination.
So let's map out 3-5 writing goals that'll shape your creative path in 2025.
Don't worry, I'll help you figure this out!
Take a moment to dream a little (Be a dreamer imagine those big dream )
What would make your heart sing this year?
Maybe you've been carrying around an idea for a book that's dying to be written.
Or perhaps you have stories tucked away that your friends keep asking to read.
Some of you might be thinking about turning your passion into a paycheck through publications.
For example, there are so many writing competitions done yearly, publications that invite writers to act as ghostwriters inshot write for them and get paid .
Here's what I've set for myself in 2025:
- I'm committing to 1,500 words every week (even if some days I just stare at the blank page!)
- One new book a month to feed my writer's soul
- Two short stories out in the world before December (scary but exciting!) 4.Two in-person literary events to meet fellow word-lovers
While it's tempting to shoot for the stars (and hey, sometimes you should!)
You should keep these goals doable.
Think stretchy but not impossible - like yoga for your writing muscles!
Your turn!
Drop your writing goals below.
They can be big, small, wild, or practical - as long as they're truly yours.
And if you want to bounce ideas around or need a cheerleader in your corner, I'm right here!
