Casting director Kamau wa Ndung'u called me to go for this audition, a movie by the producers of Nairobi Half Life. So I went and did my thing then few days later ring ring! "Paul, you got the role"! Excited as I am, knowing that this is where my cheque for the next few monthS would come from. I had just moved out of my grandparent's house and the 'rent reality' was all that I knew. One evening, before the production, one HEATED phone call was the distance between me dropping this script because of bills and me doing this movie because of my purpose.

"If you had any hope" This line and scene in the movie, brought me back to what I must do as a storyteller. So I did the movie and onset you would think that I actually was going to buy a house afterwards
