I started selling milk at Mwiki, Kasarani, because I wanted to provide fresh, affordable and quality milk to the community, filling a gap I saw in people daily needs. Since I was a student I was always free at the evening and I thought I could do something, or sell something in the evening hours to keep my self busy. So I thought of selling milk. I went ahead and purchased a fridge that would help me in preserving the milk. I started the business and eventually it became fruitful. The population and movement of people motivates me a lot since everyday I encounter new customers and the business keeps growing. What keeps me going is the joy of seeing my customers return with smiles, knowing they trust my product to nourish their families. I love the connections I've built with people, the shared stories and laughter's during those quick stops at my shop. I fell in love with this business since I only do it in the evening hours after I've done other chores and businesses. The business is really helpful since it pays my bills. I normally get my milk directly from Githunguri farmers. I have a motorcycle that helps get to and from. The milk I purchase is able to give back profits that are enough for fuel and maintain the motorcycle. It's more than just a business, it's a bond with my community that keeps growing stronger each day. This includes even the farmers and the cus.
