In May 2024 , I bought 300chicks from a dealer for my pourlty farm, after 1month of struggling with them they started dying one by one and only remained 43 . I almost lost hope and quitted poultry farming but considering so many factors, I had to get money from my savings and bought other 250 chick's from a company in Eldoret. They all grew up well and I have been selling them plus the eggs since November, I have only remained with 12 in my stock and am now very happy with the decision that I made.
Lessons I learnt about myself and my business based on that experience are the following.
-
Always save for your business . My savings is what kept me going.
-
Get your stock from a trusted dealer/source. I guess my chick were not fully immunized
-
