In my younger years nothing was memorable like "Cattle Dip Day". Hood nzima tulikuwa tunafika na our livestock's; Men and Boys only fanfare. They will pump out the maji chafu, pump in clean water and wanaongeza dawa. I will be peeping at the agriculture extension officer measure the required measurements za each tin and get inspired to one day be like him; Of course life happened :).
Most cases, chief na sub-chief na few askari will be there to make the whole exercise ku-run smooth. We had aka list with each family na vile order itakuwa. The chief will address members share some updates from gava, and ku announce the next date. We had 6 cows, and was so proud of our 1 bull; among zenye zilikuwa celeb in those events, best breed and among the fattest (was so attached, I remember the somber mood experience after we converted it to mullah).
The farming stories, experiences, knowledge sharing, ilikuwa memorable kwa young mkulima; me. It's sad that I watched hii story iki fizzle, and now the cattle dip is just dilapidated structure, dead with the memories and experiences.
Kwenyu bado cattle dip zina exist? Ziko functional?
