The Bible also advises people to take risks, invest in different ventures, be generous, because sooner or later it will yield returns. And this is because, the future is usually uncertain, so one of the ways you can cushion yourself against unforseen future losses or disasters is to diversify your investments.

Ecclesiastes 11:1-2 Cast your bread upon the waters, for you will find it after many days. 2 Give a portion to seven, or even to eight, for you know not what evil may happen on earth.
