It's Graduation 👨🏽🎓👩🏽🎓Season again🎉🍾👏🏽
Last week it was JKUAT, today it was KCA. KU'S graduation follows closely behind on the 18th of July. It is at such one-day events, that enterprising hawkers make a kill out of selling shiny tinsel graduation garlands, Cards🧧, flowers💐 , ribbons and all manner of celebratory🎁 accessories that graduands🎓 don.
For these hawkers, it is usually a race against time to sell their wares on this one-day event. Some position themselves at the gates, others by the roadside/bus-stages, ready to attract their customers -friends and family of the graduands.
I know of a few who are students themselves and who use their university's IDs to be able to gain access inside the graduation square and sell from there. They make good money, especially those who know how to attract customers.
It was unfortunate that some hawkers were arrested today as they were busy trying to sell to KCA graduands and their families and friends👇🏽⬇️
