Kenyan traders who import maize from Tanzania will be required to register their companies in Dar es Salaam.

They will also be required to register with BRELA , obtain a trading permit and present a tax clearance certificate issued by BRELA before export.

Kenya's grain imports from Tanzania increased 479% to over 469,000 tons making it the largest exporter of grain to Kenya.
