MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN – BODY SHOP (KAREN)
Jay CVS is recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable automotive body shop based in Karen, Nairobi, seeking to hire a skilled and experienced Mechanical Technician to join their growing team.
Location: Karen, Nairobi Salary: KES 35,000 Gross
Key Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical faults in vehicles undergoing body repair and restoration. Perform maintenance and repairs on engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, braking, and cooling systems. Assess mechanical damage resulting from accidents and recommend appropriate repair solutions. Conduct vehicle inspections and testing to ensure repairs meet quality and safety standards. Support accident repair projects by ensuring all mechanical systems are restored to optimal condition. Collaborate with panel beaters, painters, and workshop personnel to facilitate timely job completion. Complete job cards, service reports, and repair documentation accurately. Identify spare parts requirements and support inventory control processes. Adhere to workshop safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies. Qualifications & Experience Certificate or Diploma in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Mechanical Technician in a body shop, accident repair centre, or automotive workshop. Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures. Experience using diagnostic tools and workshop equipment. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driving license will be an added advantage. How to Apply
