What keeps bothering me is not just the billions raised, but the jobs lost. Over 10 startups, and behind every company are Kenyans who had jobs, families to support, rent to pay and dreams to chase.

You can imagine someone leaving a stable job to join a promising startup, only for the company to collapse and leave them jobless. Saa hii economy imekuwa tough sana.

We need to talk about how we build businesses that survive beyond funding rounds. Investors lose money, but ordinary Kenyans lose livelihoods.
