A Burundian comes to Kenya, buys a KSh 200 bucket + KSh 500 thermos, makes kahawa and mandazi, then wakes up every morning doing rounds looking for customers. ☕🥯

Meanwhile, someone is waiting for a formal job to appear on LinkedIn. 😭

Then the government says it wants to restrict foreigners from doing these small hustles. Honestly, that deserves a serious conversation. Because if someone is here legally, following the rules and doing honest business, why should a KSh 700 bucket-and-thermos hustle be the biggest threat?

The real issue should be creating more opportunities for Kenyans—not simply deciding who is allowed to hustle.

Because opportunity doesn't always come wearing a suit. Sometimes it comes carrying a thermos saying, “Kahawa moto, mandazi mbili ni how much?” 😂
