Meshers, let’s have a serious talk about so-called friends in business. Some people sit with us, host us, and we end up telling them everything—our business plans, the loans we’ve taken, and the financial struggles we are going through. We trust them because we call them friends. But when things go wrong and pressure comes from banks, suppliers, or even the courts, some of these same friends disappear. Worse, they can be the first ones buying your stock or assets cheaply behind your back. Lesson: Not everyone around you is truly for you. In business, protect your plans and be careful who you trust.
