What if AI doesn’t just help us — what if it replaces us?

We always say “we must control AI”… but who is “we”? I asked AI that, and it referred to “us humans” — yet it’s part of the system too. So who’s fooling who? 🤔

Let’s not get too comfortable. If AI keeps getting smarter than us, it might one day decide we’re not needed. If it ever controls the data, jobs, decisions — what’s left for the msee wa mtaani?

We Kenyans are smart, but are we ready for the day AI stops being a tool, and becomes the boss? Look at how we treat animals, broke people, even our own farmers. Now imagine AI doing us the same way — cold, calculated, no emotions.

So yeah, Kenya is leading the race… but if we don’t guide this tech with wisdom, ethics, and real conversations — we might be racing straight into a trap.
