President Ruto has created seven new State Departments, increasing the No. of Principal Secretaries

With each PS costing taxpayers over Sh15 million annually, the total wage bill now exceeds Sh765 million per year.

The positions created include:

—Public Investments and Assets Management – National Treasury —National Government Coordination – Office of the Prime CS —Justice, Human Rights, and Constitutional Affairs – Office of the AG —Science, Research, and Innovation – Ministry of Education —Aviation and Aerospace Development – Ministry of Roads and Transport —Special Programmes – Ministry of Public Service
