Q4 is here.
And before you start planning for 2027, every founder should have some context on these three things:
💰 Cash flow — Do you know where your cash is going, and how long it can keep the business running?
🧾 Compliance — Are your tax, eTIMS and financial records in order, or are you hoping to sort them out when the deadline arrives?
📊 Financial systems — Can you actually trust the numbers you're using to make decisions?
These aren't “finance department” questions. They're founder questions.
Because you can have growing sales, exciting plans and a great product... …and still run into trouble because the cash isn't there, the records don't agree, or the systems can't keep up with the growth.
Q4 is a good time to stop and ask: Do I actually know the financial health of my business? Or am I just looking at the bank balance? Before you set bigger goals for 2027, make sure you understand the numbers carrying you there.
