Safaricom has launched 5G Wifi internet.

Safaricom's 5G Wifi is an alternative to its home fibre and 4G Wifi service.

Safaricom will target residences and commercial offices in areas that are not currently served by its fibre network.

So far it's only available in few buildings in Nairobi, Kiambu, Thika, Machakos, Kajiado, Kisumu, Mombasa, Kisii and Kakamega.

To get Safaricom's 5G Wifi you'll need a 5G router which goes for Sh25,000 plus a Sh5,000 installation and setup fee.

Safaricom's 5G Wifi has 3 monthly bundles: 10mb/s at Sh3,500 (300GB) 40mb/s at Sh6,000 (500GB) 100mb/s at Sh15,000 (1000GB)
