Some advice on how to spot a pyramid scheme/job scam
- They refer to themselves as "network marketing/referral marketing"
- Most of the money comes not from selling a product or service but from referring a friend to join the program
- Their products are hard to sell and u never see them in supermarkets
- They talk a lot about how much u could earn and less about what the job actually is
- U need 0 qualifications, just a phone/laptop and internet
- You're asked to pay a fee before starting either to buy the product u will later sell or to "level up" to a higher-paying category.
- They constantly show u how some of their members have become very wealthy over a short period of time, and tell u u can do it too.
- They want u to invest as quickly as possible so u don't have time to think. You'll be told the opportunity will soon pass by so u should give them your money now to secure it.
- They'll frequently tell u they are not a scam and even show you their registraiton licenses and permits.
If u spot any of these signs, back off and do more research to be sure your not getting scammed. Remember if it's too good to be true, it probably is a scam.
