Sports update ⚽🇰🇪 Kenya have stormed into the next stage of CHAN after putting up one of the finest displays of football we’ve seen in years! 🔥 The Harambee Stars really reminded us that football in Kenya is alive and kicking.
But here’s the twist mesher fam: as youths we had high hopes of cashing in during match days — selling water, smokies, njugu, simsim, lollipops, mayai, football jerseys, even vuvuzelas 🎺. You know the vibe — football is never complete without “stadium hustles”.
Unfortunately, CHAN officials + gov security have sealed off the stadium surroundings tighter than a goalkeeper on penalties 😅. No hawkers, no hustlers, no paraphernalia sellers allowed.
👉 Question is, as a youth in biz, have you still managed to push something near the stadium or did the rules lock you out completely? And honestly, should CHAN organizers at least create a safe zone for youth to trade and also add to the stadium fan experience?
Because let’s be real — football without fans + their noisy vuvuzelas + boiled eggs is just… practice. 🤷🏾♂️
