How Kadzo, a single mother of 4 children manages to survive in Nairobi.

Kadzo is a Community Health Promoter(CHP)- She volunteers her time and expertise in the nearby level 3 Hospital. She receives a moderate stipend from the County per month. Her children are treated freely at the hospital.

Kadzo is a Worker at 'Tap-to-eat', a food-for-education program at her county. She serves meals to students at lunch-hour and is paid by the County. She takes home a lot of the fresh left-over food , her children never go to bed hungry.
Her children attend the same Public Primary School where fees is highly subsidized and a plate of food is @5 bob.
- During the weekend, she is ''Mama Fua" at the nearby estate. She is well-trusted and takes home about 2,500 on a good-day for washing clothes and doing general-house cleaning for clients.
5.Kadzo, has a small Omena, Simsim, Njugu business that she operates only in the evening from 4 pm. Her older children help her in the day-to-day selling activities. In a good day she fetches 1050 kes profit.
In Total, per month Kadzo has a net income of around 45,000 kes. from just doing odd jobs.
