The online writing world has become a feeding ground for scammers.
These vultures are everywhere, preying on anyone trying to get a foot in the door.
They promise the world but leave you broke, frustrated, and questioning humanity.
Here’s how they operate:
They claim they’ll teach you how to write, promising skills that will land you endless jobs.
They show off "connections" to job websites—none of which exist.
They post fake payment screenshots, hoping to convince you they’re the real deal.
Before you know it, they’re shoving you into Telegram groups, selling “training” sessions, and hyping up the dream of easy money.
They’ll even have you picturing yourself on a jumbo jet to Diani Beach, juice in hand, living the high life.
It’s a scam. A Big scam.
Here’s the truth: The online writing market is crowded. Those golden opportunities people talk about? They aren’t falling from the sky anymore.
Here is my advice. Focus on building your skills first. Start small and learn the right way.
Trust someone who actually knows what they’re doing (yes, that’s me). I’ll teach you how to write and sell eBooks—for free. No fake PDFs.
Be teachable. Be smart. And most importantly, be careful. Don’t let these vultures take advantage of your hard work and ambition.
The other day, someone texted me on WhatsApp. They’d been scammed out of Ksh 3,500. A company promised to teach their daughter online writing but disappeared after sending a bunch of useless PDFs and random videos. Can you imagine the heartbreak?
Don’t let this happen to you.
Protect your time, your money, and your dreams.
Build your writing skills with someone you can trust, and don’t let anyone fool you into thinking success comes overnight.
