There are three types of people in your life.
The competent intentional.
They have good intentions and their presence makes your life better.
They root for you.
Support you.
Love you.
Challenge you to become better.
These are the people you want around you.
Then there are the incompetent intentional.
They genuinely want the best for you.
But somehow, their presence makes your life worse.
Psychologically.
Mentally.
Sometimes even physically.
A friend or family member can love you deeply and still be unhealthy for you.
Good intentions don't always produce good outcomes.
Then there is the unintended competent.
They don't necessarily want the best for you.
They hurt you.
Reject you.
Underestimate you.
Sometimes they even try to bring you down.
But somehow, their actions become the fuel that changes you.
You work harder.
You become stronger.
You build yourself.
And years later, you realise:
Their bad intentions produced a good consequence in your life.
The necessary evil.
So perhaps don't judge people only by what they intended.
Look at what their presence is actually producing in your life.
Intentions matter.
But consequences matter too.
