
Those who want to start a wine & spirits outlet. There are two categories; one is where you dispense over the counter(take-away) and the other is where you offer a mini-bar with sitting space. The only difference in requirements is that when you offer sitting space, you're obligated to also provide washrooms. You get a premises, build the shelves, counter, barrier, lighting and security gate. You pay for the required license, MCSK, liquor, Fire permit, water & power. Then you stock and you're in business. Depending on size of pub, APs- same as police, local businesses that do the same business usually have a committee that determines, among other things, pricing. You'll also have to deal with counterfeits and wayward staff. Liquor business is lucrative, but don't be under any illusion that it's going to be easy. So visit a few and talk to operators.
