Yesterday 25th October, Voice of Dagoretti held a successful Mental Health Discussion with young mothers from our community.
We had heartfelt conversations about depression and how it affects young people, especially young mothers navigating life in informal settlements. Through our group therapy sessions, these amazing women had the space to learn, share their experiences, and ask important questions about mental health.
This powerful discussion painted a clear picture of the challenges young mothers face — and reminded us how essential it is to keep creating safe spaces for healing and understanding.
We’re excited to continue these discussions in November as we work together to break the stigma and promote mental well-being.
A huge thank you to our partners, well-wishers, and mental health counselors for their support — and to everyone who donated sanitary pads for our young mothers.
Remember: Mental health is just as important as physical health.
