Yesterday marked our second day of community outreach on Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) using magnetic theatre and traditional dance to engage and educate the community in Kibera.
We continued highlighting the power community members have to influence CSE policy through public participation, writing petitions, and engaging their Members of Parliament. It was inspiring to hear feedback from participants, many of whom agreed that having clear CSE policies and guidelines would empower teachers, community health promoters, and parents to speak openly and confidently about CSE without fear.
We also had the opportunity to introduce the Aunty Jane Hotline and share information about the sexual and reproductive health services they offer. Community members were encouraged to reach out for support and information.
