“Uncle, where is your auntie?”
That question imekuwa common kwa family gatherings.
And suddenly the uncle is looking for a way to distract the kid.
But behind the joke is a bigger conversation.
Why are more young men delaying or avoiding marriage?
For some, marriage no longer sounds like:
“Someone to build life with.”
It sounds like:
“Another responsibility. Another pressure.”
Marriage was never meant to be easy.
But it should still feel like partnership, friendship and a place to build together.
Maybe men aren't necessarily rejecting marriage.
Maybe some are afraid of what marriage has come to represent.
That's a conversation worth having.
