Meshers, the University of Nairobi has officially dropped out of the top 1,000 in the QS World University Rankings 2026. We are now proudly sitting somewhere in the 1,001–1,200 category. Hapo chini, karibu next to “University of Hard Knocks.” 😅

Once the academic lion of Africa 🦁, now we’re being ranked with universities that still use chalk and shouting as teaching tools. Meanwhile: Other unis are building innovation hubs,

UoN is still fighting with broken chairs and blackout timetables. Blackboard still loads like it's using 2G.😂😂

So the big question is: Is it poor funding, outdated systems, or the curse of missing CATs? 😭
