In the Nation Daily Newspaper 🗞️ a 29-year old urban farmer, Stephen Musyoka, founder of Fresh Organic Produce has managed to raise a large garden in the heart of Korogocho, Kariobangi North.
What about space in the crowded Korogocho area?
Where people see challenges, Musyoka saw opportunity.
He approached the Chief's office at Kariobangi North and asked to use an adjacent piece of land. A year of hardwork, has seen him transform a barren piece of land into a lush garden full of fruits 🍓🍑 🥭, herbs 🌿 and vegetables 🥬 🥦. Upon seeing his hardwork, the chief gave him an empty shipping container to set up an office.
He not only feeds his family, but an entire community. Teaching them how to grow🪴 healthy organic food.
