Which is better, being an influencer or being an entrepreneur?
Every entrepreneur can be an influencer, but not every influencer can be an entrepreneur!
Take Elon Musk as an example. He’s an entrepreneur who can influence the financial markets and many national economies with one tweet.
On the other hand, we have influencers who have found a way to monetize their popularity and “influence” over millions of followers. With all due respect, I don’t and I can’t treat and accept those influencers as entrepreneurs. They’re promoters of various brands in the best case scenario. The fact that they’re making money in this way doesn’t make them entrepreneurs.
Finally, we have to address the elephant in the room. How do the most successful and richest entrepreneurs in the world use their influence? Do you approve or disagree with their “messages” is up to you? For example, Bill Gates wants to save the world. Mark Zuckerberg wants to make it possible for every person on our planet to have Internet access. Elon Musk is already in space.
If you want to create new jobs, then become an entrepreneur. If you want to have followers, then become an influencer.
