Yooo fahm,niaje wadau
Was just chilling na nikaamua why not share something small about networking and creating an audience and also building your brand kama upcoming producer ama creative
Some time back an artist told me that kama nataka nifike level yenye nataka kufika, lazima nianze na hizi level za hapa chini zenye najaribu kuavoid and i really didn't understand what he said hiyo time up untill recently when i was writing down a list of everything naeza taka kuachieve this year,
So basically,he was talking about networking. If you want to reach some one like lets say future or quavo, don't just dm them on Instagram or any other platform, look for the old pictures of him and some guys just chilling and try to reach them out one by one, look for anybody who has ever taken a pic with him and build a connection, juana na wao, start sending them beats for free, usitume beats na intention ya kuunda doh,we tuma tu coz at the end of the day,if the G reposts a beats,na since anajuana na the artist, and the artist sees it atakua like "Hey,i need this beat, link me up with the producer"...and just like that, utakua umetoka kwa block, that is the importance of networking, build friendships
Building an audience is also very important, platforms like Instagram and tik tok have helped alot of upcoming artists, producers and creatives,so don't just have IG and tik tok on your phone just to view short videos and reels, use it to your advantage, kua consistent, post regularly that way you will reach alot of people who have interest in the same niche as you na utagrow pole pole hadi ufike level unataka
About building your brand,as i said, never approach some one na mindset ya kuunda doh, always build good relationships,be humble and do quality work that alone my friend, can make you more than what you could have made if you had a "money" mindset ...IF YOU GET WHAT IM SAYING 😅,
Unaeza kua producer hapa nje struggling na an artist approaches you na anataka umfanyie ngoma for free, and you send him away juu hana doh,im not saying that artists should not pay for production but I've seen this in other countries,a producer will make a song for an artist for free but once the artist blows up,the split the royalties which is way more than what the producer could have made if he charged him a one time fee,so what im emphasizing here is that don't approach some one with a "Money" mindset, always support each other, grow together na mambo itakua best ama niaje wadau,
