You must be where action is happening. Life is a theatre. If you are not an actor, you must be where the actors are. Whatever industry you are in, you must associate with people who call shots in that industry. You can't afford to be at the bottom of the food chain or at the periphery and expect to be great. You must associate with the people who make things move in your industry through service or collaboration. Be where they are! Move cities, change hobbies, enrol in those clubs, attend those conferences, do business or contribute content. Just do something to associate with movers & shakers of your industry . That's what will propel you to great heights faster than your resources, papers or expertise.
