YOUR CHILD DOES NOT NEED A FANCY COURSE AFTER KCSE. THEY NEED FOUNDATIONS
One of the biggest mistakes parents in Kenya are making today is rushing their children into big-sounding courses immediately after KCSE.
Digital forensics. Cybersecurity. Data science.
These names sound impressive.
They look good on paper.
They make parents feel like progress is happening.
But the reality is very different.
You cannot teach a child cybersecurity when they don’t know how to use a computer properly.
You cannot push a Form 4 leaver into data analysis when they don’t know how to type, use Google Docs, manage files, or even send a proper email.
That is not growth. That is confusion disguised as progress.
Before anything else, a child needs foundations.
They need to know how to use a laptop confidently. How to use a mouse and keyboard properly. How to type documents. How to use Google Workspace. How to manage files using Google Drive. How to attend online meetings. How to use basic tools like Canva, CapCut, and ChatGPT.
These skills are not glamorous.
They don’t sound fancy.
But they pay.
They build confidence.
They make learning easier later.
Only after these fundamentals are in place does it make sense to move into graphic design, web design, digital marketing, programming, data analysis, or cybersecurity.
Growth is gradual.
You don’t jump to the roof before building the house.
Parents need to stop chasing titles and start thinking about value.
Ask yourself this simple question.
What can my child actually do after this course? Now, here is the practical part.
Next week on Saturday, 31st January 2026, we will be hosting our first ever physical Computer Literacy and Digital Literacy workshop.
This is a full-day session starting at 9:30 a.m.
It is designed for Form 4 leavers. Parents. Beginners. And anyone who genuinely does not know how to use a computer properly.
We will cover real computer literacy. No big titles. Just practical skills that matter.
The session costs KES 4,560. Tea and beverages will be provided. You will have access to high-speed internet.
And you will actually learn how to use your computer confidently.
We only have 12 slots available for this. Send me a WhatsApp Message to be part of the sessions. 0770950269
